VitaVault does not collect, store, or transmit your personal health data to any server. Everything stays on your device.
VitaVault reads health data from Apple HealthKit with your explicit permission. This data is:
When you use the AI Insights feature (free trial or subscription), an anonymized summary of your health metrics is sent to a secure AI endpoint (Google Gemini, via our Cloudflare Worker) to generate insights. This summary contains only numbers — steps, heart rate, sleep hours, etc. No name, no device ID, no location, nothing that identifies you. The AI provider does not store your data after processing.
If you never use the AI Insights, nothing ever leaves your phone.
Medication information you enter (names, dosages, reminders) is stored locally on your device. Photos of medication labels are processed through a secure cloud endpoint for text recognition only and are not retained after processing.
When you export your health data (JSON or CSV), the file is saved to your device's local storage via the iOS Files app. You control where that file goes — we never see it.
VitaVault does not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use. There is no sign-up process.
We do not use analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or any form of user behavior monitoring. We don't know who you are or how you use the app.
VitaVault does not share data with third parties. The only external communication is:
You can delete all app data at any time from Settings → Delete All App Data. This permanently removes all exported files, sync history, and cached data from your device.
VitaVault is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
